Please help me in welcoming Masina Rose, MT-BC to Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services!
A little about Masina:
Masina Rose, MT-BC grew up in West Branch, Michigan, where her love of all things musical was cultivated. She began piano lessons when she was six years old and picked up the guitar and the French horn when she was eleven.
Masina attended Alma College for her undergraduate degree. She studied both the piano and French horn and was a member of the jazz band, orchestra, brass ensemble, woodwind ensemble, percussion ensemble, concert band, and the Kiltie Marching Band, of which she was drum major for three years.
After completing her B.A. in Music, Masina went on to attend Western Michigan University for a Master’s of Music in Music Therapy, where she is currently finishing up her Master’s Thesis. During her time at Western Michigan University, Masina had the opportunity to work in many music therapy settings including hospice, special education, speech rehabilitation, and many more.
Masina’s music therapy internship was completed at Bronson Methodist Hospital where she gained experience on many units including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics, Adult Medical Care Unit, Extended Medical Care Unit, General Surgical Unit, Cardiac Surgery Unit, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Antepartum, Neurovascular Unit, Trauma Care Unit, and Stepdown Nursery.
Masina is a competent music therapist and brings energy and excitement to HGMTS! I can’t wait for you to meet her!
